The Highlands

There are a very few things that compare to a drive up the Highlands.

To have the sharp winds weave forcefully through your hair like they were blown just to do so, other than of course destroying anything that comes in their path! A beginning to April so chilly that you clutch on to your dear jacket for all that you possess. To crink your eyes to the sunlight bouncing off the white spread all around, making it sparkle like a few hundred diamonds embedded onto the ground. The air so crisp you can feel each pore of your body breathe. Rolling down your window to pop your head out and feel the wind slapping your face until your eyes water and your throat cries for mercy! Forgetting about your flying mufflers and scarves because you were just so mesmerized by the breathtaking views. The quiet loch that holds mysteries and myths to it's fame, ones that you want to believe in, even when your evidence driven brain tells you not to. To literally see the Van Goghs come alive before your eyes, with the perfect skies and the seamless land. To rejoice as the winter sun peeps out while you know all along that the rain clouds aren't very far away.

You know you are at odds with nature when you stop clicking photographs because they don't even do a wee bit of justice to what you see. They just make it look drab and human. And so I say again, there are a very few things that compare to a drive up the Highlands!
